Introduction
Beechworth region has a winemaking history dating back to the Gold Rush. Local wineries produce grape varieties grown from classic French (particularly Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz), to savoury Italian and some of the finest reds and whites in the area. Beechworth's grape growing industry is quickly expanding.
